Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Results announced the Results for Intermediate First Year Examination 2009.

The Board of Intermediate Education also known as BIE in Hyderabad, India announced Results of the Intermediate First Year, 19th or 20th April 2009.

The Board of Intermediate Education conducts intermediate Examinationsin Andhra Pradesh. The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) Secretary, G. Balaramaiah, told a press conference that the valuation was already on in 24 centres involving more than 30,000 teachers.

The Board of Intermadiate Exam (BIE) to make the IntermediateExaminations in Andhra Pradesh has been completed, and the valuation of assets is underway, and the valuation of Intermediate Examination papers for both first and Second years, completed by 10th April 2009, and the results will be published on 19th or 20th April 2009.

IIT JEE is a joint entrance examination for entering into the prestigious India Institute of technology also called as the Indian MIT's.The test will be written by more than 4 lakh students and less than 10,000 students will qualify this exam.
JEE-2008 was conducted on April 13, 2008 retaining the same pattern as JEE-2007 containing Paper-I & Paper-II (JEE-2007 had two papers of three hours duration each). The two papers each contained maths, physics and chemistry sections (in previous years, there were separate maths, physics and chemistry papers, each of two hours' duration). The syllabus of the examination is based on topics covered by the CBSE Board Examination (AISSCE) and the ISC Board Examination , though all topics of the AISSCE and the ISC are not included in the JEE syllabus. The pattern of questions in JEE is deliberately variable so as to minimize the chance of students getting selected by cramming up the probable questions. Currently, the examination has objective type question paper for all the subjects and uses machine readable Optical mark recognition answer sheets.
Given the importance attached to the JEE by students all over India, the IITs follow a rigorous procedure when conducting it every year. The exam is set by the JEE Committee (consisting of a group of faculty members drawn from the admitting colleges) under the tightest security. Multiple sets of question papers are framed and the set that is to actually be used on the day of the exam is known to only about five individuals. In the past, the JEE has been noted for originality in its questions.

The subject wise cutoff doesn’t matter much the subject wise cutoff previous year was 5 marks in Mathematics,0 marks in Physics and 3 marks in Chemistry . Individual subject cutoffs is determined on the basis that top 80% candidates qualify in each subject.

The expected cutoff for the last rank in IIT JEE would be somewhere around 170 to 175 as the paper seems to be bit simpler then the previous year.

Gujarat Common Entrance Test (MCA/MBA) Online

Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) for admissions to Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Application (MCA) will be conducted online from this year.

Entrance tests which will now be conducted by the newly-formed Gujarat Technical University(GTU) will be held online for the first time. To facilitate this, two centres will be opened in each district with 50-odd computers where students can give their test online.

Tests are scheduled to be conducted between June 1 to 15. The paper of each examinee will be different to minimise copying. It will also allow authorities to conduct the test in batches.

Interestingly, students will not have to wait long for their results. "Students will be given their scorecard in two hours," said director of GTU Manish Bharadwaj.

Earlier, the task of conducting entrance tests for MBA and MCA exams was handed over to a university. With GTU taking over the professional courses, new set of reforms are being implemented.

With the entrance test going online, admission process is expected to be conducted in time. "Merit list will be declared on June 16 and 17. After students pay the fee, courses will begin in different colleges from July 1," said Bharadwaj.

Earlier, beginning of the academic session in these courses would get delayed till August and even September. Gujarat University has also planned to start external BBA and BCA exams and is currently formulating its course content.
