Bujjigadu is a Telugu film, starring Prabhas, Trisha, Mohan Babu, and others, directed by Puri Jagannath. Produced by KS Rama Rao. This film has been released on May 22, 2008.

Story:
Lingaraju aka Bujji (Prabhas) is adopted son of Prabhas Raju (M.S Narayana) living in Vizag. Young Bujji & Little Chitti are neighbours and best friends in vizag.One day Chitti was deeply hurt 'coz Bujjgadu spoiled her sand temple.She asks him not to talk to her for 12 years & also says she will marry him if he can live up to her challenge.Bujjigadu runs away from home shifts base to Chennai keeping no touch with his parents.

After 12yrs:
Bujji grows up to be a hard core Rajnikanth fan and his only aim is to finish the 12 year wait and return to Vizag for Chitti.Chittiis studying in London and her family is living in Hyderabad.She sends her sister(Sanjana) to contact Bujji.Bujjigadu also lands in a tempting deal, with Machireddy & sons(Kota Srinivasarao gang)for Rs.1Crore to kill Sivanna (Mohan babu),as he needs money to live happily after marrying Chitti.He comes to Hyderabad to find Chitti & to kill Sivanna.There he comes to know Chitti is the only sister of Sivanna.What he will do next forms rest of the story.

Highlights :
Prabhas looks macho.Prabhas performed very well as a Puri mark funny.it's a totally different charecter for prabhas.1st and 3rd fights are highlight's of the movie,last song dance is awesome. Nothing special to say about Trisha.Her makeup is awkward. Music by Sandeep Chowta is not good.There are some enjoyable witty one liners and overall comedy isn't upto the mark compared to Puri's earlier films.Sunil did well,Ali appears in 3 different roles .

Sidelights:
It's a Lazy screenplay by Puri Jagannadh.Though no one expect a novel storyline for a mass film atleast people expects an entertaining film with a fluid screenplay from him.he failed to deliver so.it's a routine mass flick. Mohan babu is casted in a pretty routine don cum brother character.His terrific acting abilities were absolutely wasted. amma-abba,munda-randa kind of telugu thitlu are used very casually for comedy( often uttered by heroines )

ALL INDIA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2008

Evaluation and Declaration of Results On the basis of performance in AIEEE, separate rank lists will be prepared for B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning. Score Card indicating All India Rank and State Rank with total marks and marks in each subject shall be sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE.
Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks (being different for General and SC/ST/PH category candidates) to be called for counselling shall be determined at the time of declaration of AIEEE results. Cut off percentage of marks for OBC shall be determined as and when govenment orders are issued for the same.All India Rank and marks shall also be released on AIEEE website.
The results of AIEEE 2008 are likely to be declared on or before 7th June, 2008.The score card will be dispatched to the candidates from 12.06.2008 to 28.06.2008 under Certificate of Posting (UPC). The Board will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to loss of score card in transit.In case of non-receipt of the score card within the stipulated period candidate may apply for duplicate score card on payment of Rs. 50/- (plus postal charges of Rs. 30/- for outstation candidates) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi/New Delhi between 09.07.2008 to 30.08.2008. No request for issue of duplicate score card will be entertained thereafter.As per the notified cut off score and the candidates declared eligible up to the notified Rank shall be called to appear for counselling.In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined as follows:B.E/B.Tech - By marks obtained in Mathematics and then in Physics in the AIEEE and then by age (preference to older candidates).B.Arch/B.Planning - By marks obtained in Aptitude Test and then in Mathematics in the AIEEE and then by age (preference to older candidates).

“The process of tabulating the results of ICSE and ISC 2008 is in full swing. We are taking all possible steps to ensure that the students get to know their results in time,” Gerry Arathoon, the additional secretary and officiating chief executive of the ICSE/ISC board said.

Bujjigadu Preview Telugu Movie 2008..

There are a number of rumours doing the rounds in Tollywood about the story of the film. Some rumours even say the writer Madhubabu (detective Shadow fame) has provided the story for the film. But Madhubabu denied that he has provided the story for the film.

Prabhas has been struggling hard to lay his hands on the elusive big hit for a long time now. He pairs up with the sexy and in form Trisha in the film. Incidentally, this is his third film with Trisha. Their previous films were 'Varsham' and 'Pournami'.

Prabhas plays the role of a hardcore fan of superstar Rajnikanth in the film. There are many scenes that show Prabhas expressing his love and admiration for his idol. Prabhas also speaks with a Tami accent and there are also several Tamil words in the film. It is only natural as the hero is shown as being brought up in the city.

Mohan Babu is one of the finest actors in Tollywood. It is with this in mind that director Puri Jagannath requested him to take up the role in the film. When Puri went to narrate the story to Mohan Babu, asked Puri to sum up his role in one just word. Puri told him that he was a 'rascal' in the film. This was sufficient for Mohan Babu and he readily agreed to star in the film. He is playing the role of Trisha's sister.

The name of Trisha's character in the movie is 'Chitti'. The interaction between Mohan Babu and hero Prabhas and his dialogues are the highlight of the film. Mohan Babu's excessive possessiveness of his sister, Trisha, and the related scenes have also come off very well.

Prabhas is playing an out and out mass hero in the film. His body language, dialogues and action are aimed at establishing him firmly as a popular mass hero. The film has already earned a very positive talk and it is likely to become a big hit.

Superstar Rajnikanth unveiled the audio of Bujjigau at the Andhra Club in Chennai recently. Puri has given several hits in recent times. His last two films, 'Desamuduru' with Allu Arjun and 'Chirutha' with Ram Charan were big hits. He hopes to score yet another big hit with Bujjigadu.

Sanjana, Sunil, Ali, MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Sudha, Hema, Ajay, Subbaraju and others are among the star cast.

By all indications, Bujjigadu is a hilarious family entertainer with action, romance, fights and dance in equal measure. Get set to watch Bujjigadu on May 23.

The Ultimate Windows XP Optimization Tweak Guide

This is one of the most complete Windows XP Tweak guides on the net. My previous post on speeding up Windows XP startup times was one of my most popular posts for awhile. The Ultimate Windows XP Optimization/Tweak Guide is a comprehensive guide that will give you performance increases all across the board, perfect for a slower machine, and amazing for a fast machine. These XP tweaks will speed up XP dramatically along with improving Windows XP start times, shutdown times, file copying performance, playing games, installing and using programs.

The guide is organized into 3 different sections, because it includes over 20 different tweaks and optimizations: Easy XP Tweaks include quick and easy XP optimizations that you can do in a matter of seconds and work your way through easily, Intermediate Tweaks includes performance enhancements that take a little more time and moving around in Windows XP to implement, while last but not least, Advanced Tweaks include things like modifying the registry and using 3rd party programs to optimize Windows XP. Don’t let the section names fool you, just because one is labeled advanced and the other is labeled intermediate does not mean that you’ll have a hard time performing the advanced tweaks, it’s just these take a little long to implement, and they are all fairly easy to do. As with anytime you mess around with your OS, you should make backups of your important files and folders just as a precaution. I have been optimizing my Windows XP for a few years now, and have never had any problems with these tweaks as long as you follow the instructions.

Easy Windows XP Tweaks

Turn off Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> System -> Remote -> Uncheck ‘Allow Remote Assistance invitations to be sent from this computer’, and ‘Allow users to connect remotely to this computer’ -> Click ‘OK’

This saves memory by disabling these services that you’re most likely never going to use, and it increases XP security by preventing unknown people from trying to remotely connect to your computer.

Turn off Windows Automatic Updates:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> System -> Automatic Updates -> Select ‘Turn off Automatic Updates.’ -> Click ‘OK’

This saves memory and increases performance because your computer doesn’t have to check Windows regularly for updates anymore, but since there won’t be anymore automatic updates you’ll need to make sure you check Windows Update Web site once a week so you don’t miss any important updates.

Disable System Restore:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> System -> System Restore -> Check ‘Turn off System Restore’ -> Click ‘OK’

System Restore is only good for if you end up breaking your computer a lot, having children that are on the computer, and love to download unknown files. However, if you somewhat know your way around the computer chances are you’ve probably never used it and probably never will. This will save you a ton of hard drive space (at least a couple gigs), and provide a decent performance boost.

Set Your Virtual Memory To 1.5-3.0 Times Your Computer’s Memory:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> Performance Settings -> Advanced Tab -> Change -> Select Custom Size -> Set the Initial size to 1.5 x amount of memory installed in your computer (I have 1024mb, 1GB of RAM installed so I’d set it to 1.5 x 1024 = 1536 MB) -> Set the Maximum Size to 3 x amount of memory installed in your computer (I have 1024mb, 1GB of RAM installed so I’d set it to 3.0 x 1024 = 3072 MB). -> Click ‘Set’ -> Click ‘OK

This makes sure the paging file stays put, by doing this it will perform better, and it is optimized for the amount of memory you have so Windows XP doesn’t have to keep adjusting the paging file automatically. It also helps prevent the paging file from becoming fragmented.

Disable Windows Error Reporting:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> Error Reporting -> Select ‘Disable error reporting’ -> Check ‘But notify me when critical errors occur’ -> Click ‘OK’

By disabling error reporting you will no longer get those annoying messages that your program has encountered an error, and asks to send information to Microsoft, this saves memory by getting rid of the feature. I think it’s a good trade-off to get rid of those critical error messages. You’ll still be notified when a bad error occurs.

Turn off Indexing Service:
Start Menu -> My Computer -> Right Click Local Disk (C:) (or available hard drives) -> Properties -> Uncheck ‘Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching’ -> Check ‘Apply To All Files And Folders’ -> Click ‘OK’

The indexing service hogs a huge amount of system resources. It keeps certain files in memory to allow your Windows File Folder Search to run faster, so unless you’re using the Windows Search multiple times per day you don’t need Indexing, the search will still work, but just not as fast as it would if indexing is enabled.

Change maximum size of the Recycle Bin to something more manageable, and get rid of the display delete confirmation dialog:
Desktop -> Right click Recycle Bin -> Properties -> Set ‘Maximum size of Recycle Bin’ to a smaller, more manageable percentage like 3-5% -> Uncheck ‘Display delete confirmation dialog’ -> Click ‘OK’

Lowering the maximum size of the recycle bin makes sure that it doesn’t use up more than a gig or few, because it’s normally set to 10% of each drive you have, and 10% of 250GB is 25GB, that’s a lot of space to be dedicated to your recycle bin. Unchecking the display delete confirmation dialog stops Windows from asking you every time if you’re sure you want to delete the file that you want to delete, which of course we always say yes. If you accidentally delete something it’ll still be in your recycle so you don’t have to worry.

Disable Hibernation:
Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Hibernate Tab -> Uncheck ‘Enable Hibernation’ -> Click ‘OK’

Hibernation is one of those things that you’re just never going to use, unless you have a laptop, it makes it so that when you put your computer into hibernation mode it saves everything that was in your memory onto your hard disk. It sounds handy, but they don’t make it to put it into hibernation and it just mostly wastes space and processing power. Just put your computer in stand by if you don’t want to use it for awhile.

Disable automatic search for network folders and printers:
Start Menu -> My Computer -> Tools Menu -> Click ‘Folder Options’ -> View Tab -> Uncheck ‘Automatically search for network folders and printers’

By disabling automatic search for network folders and printers when you open up Windows explorer your computer will not automatically search for network folders and printers that may or may not be there. Chances are you have no network printers or folders, and if you do Windows wouldn’t need to search for them every time you want to get into My Computer. This speeds up file browsing, access and Windows responsiveness.

Defragment your hard drive:
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Click ‘Disk Defragmenter’ -> Click ‘Defragment’

Defragmenting your hard drive is very important to the performance health of your computer, it can speed up Windows XP significantly if you never have defragmented your computer before. It takes your folders and files and moves them around on the hard drive so Windows XP can have better and faster access to them, the more files you have the more they need to be organized on the hard drive.

Check your hard drive for errors with Disk Check:
Start Menu -> My Computer -> Right Click ‘Local Disk (C:)’ -> Click ‘Properties’ -> Tools Tab -> Click ‘Check Now’ -> Check ‘Automatically fix file system errors’, and ‘Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors’ -> Click ‘Start’

The Disk Check will require a reboot, and it certainly takes some time to check the disk (1-2 hours). Disk check allows Windows to scan your hard drive for any errors, and automatically fix any errors if they are found. If you hard drive contains errors it can slow down your computer and your overall Windows XP experience.

Intermediate Windows XP Tweaks

Turn off Windows Visual Effects:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> Performance Settings -> Click ‘Custom’
Uncheck:
Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
Fade of slide menus into view
Fade or slide ToolTips into view
Fade out menu items after click
Show window contents while dragging
Slide open combo boxes
Slide taskbar buttons
Use a background image for each folder type
Use common tasks in folder

This gets rid of certain visual effects. You won’t hardly notice any of the visual effects that have disappeared, but this saves lots of memory and processing power by disabling these visual effects. The only one that you’ll most likely notice missing is the Common Tasks in folder, if you want to you can go back and enable that one, but you don’t need it for anything.
Delete unused fonts in the fonts folder:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> Fonts Folder

Delete any unnecessary or fonts that you will never ever use. As a precaution first move the unused fonts to a different folder so you make sure there are no side-effects, because you could move a system font that’s needed for Windows by accident. Feel free to delete Wingdings and Symbol and all those Eastern/Western fonts that you’re never going to use. Windows checks this folder each time it loads, and then it loads the fonts into Windows memory so they’re easily accessible with the click of a button, by deleting these fonts you save system memory and increase start up time.

Disable unused Windows sounds:
Start Menu -> Classic Control Panel -> Sound and Audio Devices -> Sounds Tab

Set all the unused Windows/Application sounds to ‘None’. I just go through each sound and listen to it, and if I don’t need it’s disabled, some sounds you hear all the time, those are the ones I don’t disable, but the ones that are for Net meetings or Windows startup I disable, the more you disable the greater the performance boost.
Here’s a list of the sounds I didn’t disable:
Critical Stop

Uninstall unused Windows Components/Programs
Start Menu -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components

Uncheck the Windows Components that you don’t use. I uncheck Fax Services, Indexing Service, Internet Information Services, Management and Monitoring Tools, Message Queuing, Other Network File and Printer Services, Windows Messenger, Outlook Express, and MSN Explorer. They’re probably handy tools and services for businesses, but I will never need Message Queuing and Fax services. Also while you’re in the Add/Remove Programs menu look for any programs that you don’t use and uninstall them as well, it’ll save disk space and increase performance.
Set all of your ATAPI drives to DMA:
Start Menu -> Right Click ‘My Computer’ -> Click ‘Manage’ -> Click ‘Device Manager’ -> Click ‘IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers’ -> Right Click on each individual IDE Channel -> Click ‘Properties’ -> Advanced Settings Tab -> Select ‘DMA if available’ for ‘Transfer Mode’

This setting changes your IDE device’s transfer mode to DMA. Switching all of your IDE devices over to DMA provides a significant performance boost compared to PIO only transfer mode, DMA is much faster.

Disable unused devices in Device Manager:
Start Menu -> Right Click ‘My Computer -> Click ‘Manage’ -> Click ‘Device Manager’ -> Right Click unused devices -> Click ‘Disable’

Be careful when disabling unused devices that you don’t disable something that may be important to the necessary functions of your computer. Only disable something if you have an onboard sound card, or an onboard ethernet adapter that you’re not using because you have PCI slots filled with a sound card or network adapter.

Defragment your page file:
Download PageDefrag at Microsoft TechNet -> Open the .zip and run PageDefrag -> Click ‘Accept’ -> Select ‘Defragment at next boot’ -> Click ‘OK’

Just like the Microsoft TechNet website said one of the problems of Windows XP/2000/NT is that files that are in use cannot be defragged, and that includes the pagefile. This program will defrag your pagefile at the next boot to ensure it’s working to it’s maximum efficiency.

Advanced Windows XP Tweaks

Use MSConfig to disable any unnecessary startup items:
Start Menu -> Run -> Type ‘MsConfig’ -> Startup Tab -> Uncheck unnecessary startup items

Extra startup items are one of the main things that slows down a computer. The startup items are the programs that are loaded into memory when a computer starts up, like AIM, Antivirus programs, all of the little programs sitting in your task bar, and some programs you can’t see. Go through the list and look for any familiar programs and disable those first, then go back and look at the unfamiliar programs and try to find out what application they belong to, google the process name like ctfmon.exe and it should come up with a detailed use for the program in the listings and if it’s harmful or just a system program.

Download TCP/IP Optimizer to enhance the internet connection:
Download TCP/IP Optimizer at SpeedGuide.net -> Open TCPOptimizer -> Click ‘Optimal Settings’ -> Click ‘Apply changes’ -> Check ‘Backup’ -> Click ‘OK’

TCP/IP Optimizer is a program that changes your Windows XP Network settings to optimize your network and internet performance, it change the amount of bytes it transfers among other things for your network by modifying some registry keys. It gives you a nice boost with your internet connection that Windows XP otherwise limits, and it makes backups that you can restore just in case something goes awry.

Download and Install Cacheman to maximize performance of the caches:
Download ‘Cacheman’, not CachemanXP -> Install Cacheman -> Run Cacheman -> Click ‘Show wizard’ Menu -> Click ‘All’ -> Go through the wizard and leave everything at the default settings, Cacheman will optimize everything -> Go to ‘Options’ -> Uncheck ‘Load Cacheman on Windows startup’

Cache man goes through your cache and optimizes them for maximum performance. It also changes a few other settings that help with memory throughput, performance, and lower the time it takes for Windows to shutdown an application, speeds up the start menu and speeds up Windows XP shutdown.

Disable unused Windows XP services:
Start Menu -> Run -> Type ‘Services.msc’

It’s important to always save the best for last. This last tweak is going to provide the most performance out of all other tweaks, and it takes the longest to implement. After you’ve opened up the Services windows you’re going to go down the list and look for services that you don’t need, then right click on them, go to ‘Properties’, pull down the ‘Startup type:’ menu and click ‘Disabled, then click ‘OK’. It’s not hard but you have to go through the list of services and figure out what’s needed and what’s not. Actually, someone else has already done that. Head over to Black Viper’s Windows XP Service Configurations. He has a table built that tells you what safe to disable and what you should leave alone, but if you don’t want to take time deciphering his table I’ll just tell you which ones you can go ahead and disable with no problems.

Analysis: Parugu movie is the second movie for Bhaskar after Bommarillu and as the trend follows it will not be a phenomenol hit (second movie of most of the recent directors is not a hit). It is all about how a father feels when his daughter elopes with her lover. Bhaskar showed the father’s love from son’s point of view in Bommarillu where as he showed father’s love from the father’s point of view in Parugu.

Bhaskar wanted to prove that he is not wrong in both the movies. One can find the complete reverse side of Bommariilu movie. I agree that Parugu is a complete different story but it lags the effective on-screen discription ie screenplay. The movie dragged a lot in both first half as well as the second half.

Note: After seeing Parugu movie, one can easily relate it to the recent mis-hap which shook entire Chiranjeevi family. This obvious relation will be because it has Allu Arjun in it who comes from the same family. Seeing this movie, one will surely feel the pain and agony what Chiranjeevi felt when his daughter went away. The audience will surely sympathasize Chiranjeevi after watching Parugu movie. (is this one kind of political entry stunt by Chiranjeevi ???? Who Knows….)

Performances: Allu Arjun is as usual cool in this movie too. His action and his dance sequences doesn’t show much difference from his earlier movies like Happy, Arya and Bunny.

Heroine Sheela is sweet and beautiful as a village girl. Poonam Bajwa who did a guest performance in Parugu has nothing to mention about. Jayasudha as Allu Arjun’s mother has no role to perform.

Special mention about Prakash Raj should be done here. He, as an agonizing father gave splendid performance. He stole the entire show in the movie.

Sunil and his friends are good and gave rib-tickling comedy with proper timing and proper punch dialogues.

Music by Mani Sharma is average. Even the picturization of these songs couldn’t add much to the music.

Story by Bhaskar is different and good. It highlighted the recent bad incident which took place in Megastar family. But this will not help much to the success of the movie because the screen play is not upto the mark. The entire movie dragged. The viewer gets bored after certain point of time.

Direction, again by Bhaskar is good but is not highlighted because of the bad screenplay.

Story: Krishna (Allu Arjun) is a happy go lucky guy who gets trapped in the family of Prakash Raj who is searching for the latter’s eloped first daughter Subba Lakshmi (Poonam Bajwa). In the mean time Krishna falls in love with Prakash Raj second daughter Meena (Sheela) and plans to elope with her. After seeing the agony and pain of an eloped daughter’s father, Allu Arjun decides to leave Meena. What happens next should be seen on big screen only.

How to Make Windows XP Startup Faster

Do you get frustrated while you wait around for your slow Windows XP computer to startup? Windows XP will automatically load and startup any program that is in the startup folder whether you intend to use it or not. This article will show you how to speed up the bootup process of your PC by removing the programs that bog it down.

Steps

Save any open work.

Shut down all applications.

Click Start->Run.

In the text box labeled "Open", enter msconfig and click "OK".

This will start the system configuration utility. (Remember: If you disable the necessary applications from the msconfig, the computer may not start properly. Hence, while using msconfig, keep a note of the applications which you want to uncheck to start while computer starts.)

Click on the "Startup" tab. You will see a list of all the startup programs that get loaded automatically when you startup your computer. The more items you have checked to startup, the longer it takes for your computer to startup.

Uncheck the programs that you don’t want to start up and click "Ok".

Restart your computer and you should notice that it starts up quicker.

Other Things You Can Do

Look under the "BOOT.INI" tab. You will see a box labeled "Timeout:", and a numerical value. By default, it's 30, which means 30 seconds of wait time before boot. This can be changed, using 3 seconds. (Note: if you have more than one operating system, this means the wait time to startup to the highlighted OS. you might want a bit more than 3 seconds)

Delete the temporary files periodically from your computer to make the applications run faster. Type %Temp% in the run dialog box by clicking on Start -> Run, and click on "OK". You will see an open folder with many files. Click on the Edit menu and click on Select all and then click on the File menu and select Delete. Note: Always confirm that the folder which is opened has a temp on the top of menu bar and the folder indicates that it is a temporary folder.

Always perform a disk defragmentation at least once in a month. start the disk defragmentation from the system tools available in the accessories from the start menu. it takes a longer time and it is advised not to run any applications in the computer including the screen savers, while running disk defragmentation.

Perform a scandisk to see that your computer hard drive is in healthy condition and it helps your computer run faster.

Hibernation

After you have done all this, another method you can do is to allow the computer to hibernate. Hibernation closes and opens Windows faster than normally.

Go to Start->Control Panel->Power Options. Click on the Hibernate tab.

Click on the box that says "Enable hibernation" to check it.

Click on the Advanced tab and change the Power buttons options if you want to hibernate by pressing the sleep button or the power button. Otherwise, holding the Shift key while in the Turn Off Computer menu will give you the option to hibernate.

Restart your computer every week or so to clear your computer.

The power can then be completely turned off, even at the socket so that no power is wasted.

Prefetch

Simply browse to the windows folder (Ex: C:\Windows) and under there you should see the prefetch folder. Go into the prefetch folder and delete all the files (Careful! It should look like this c:\windows\prefetch). We need to edit a registry key to tweak it. Open regedit and browse to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters

Under this key you should see a value named: EnablePrefetcher

It has 4 possible values:

0 - Disabled : The prefetch system is turned off.

1 - Application : The prefetch only caches applications.

2 - Boot : The prefetch only caches boot system files.

3 - All : The prefetch caches boot, and application files.

We don't want to disable it entirely. This would actually make boot times *longer*. This is because this feature is also used to speed up the loading of boot files. That is why we are going to pick the number 2 option. It allows us to keep the advantage of caching system files, without continually clogging the system up with applications.

Set the value to 2 and reboot.

The 2nd time you boot it should boot much faster. Remember that the side effect is that launching individual applications once windows has loaded will now be slightly slower.

Tips

When installing new software choose not to add the program to the startup folder.

Regularly check to see what programs are running from your startup folder as malicious programs such as spyware may have installed itself without your knowledge.

If you accidentally uncheck a program, just retrace the steps above and recheck the program and restart your computer.

Adding more RAM to a Windows XP computer helps it boot faster, and since RAM prices are very low these days, it's an easy way to boot faster.
